FOR HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE, AND SUBSCRIPTIONS RELATED TO THE CITY'S CYBERSECURITY NETWORK, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($100,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") is in need of a vendor to provide maintenance and subscription services for certain Information Technology software (the "Goods and Services"); and WHEREAS, PC Solutions & Integration is authorized (the "Vendor") have expressed their ability to provide the desired Goods and Services to the City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13(C) of the City's Purchasing Code, purchases made under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies, are exempt from the competitive bidding requirements set forth in Chapter 62; and WHEREAS, these purchases will be made utilizing the Vendor's Agreement with the State of Florida's Department of Management Services (Contract No. 43230000-NASPO-I6-ACS); and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the expenditure of budgeted funds for the purchase of the Goods and Services from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($100,000.00). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Expenditure of Budgeted of Expenditure of Budgeted Funds. The City Commission hereby approves the expenditure of budgeted funds forthe purchase of the Goods and Services from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($100,000.00). Section 2. Authorization of Authorization of ActingCitVManagerManager. The Acting City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. RECOMMENDATION: Staff presents -this item for commission consideration. REASONS: This expenditure is to renew the hardware and software maintenance, as well as the various associated product subscriptions, for the City's cybersecurity devices for a one-year period, at a cost of $100,000.00. This contract is piggybacking on the RFxPremier Contract SPB-RFP-2025-0563LS to secure cybersecurity products and services. Leveraging this nationwide co-operative contract allows for aggressive pricing via aggregated multi- state volume, and immediate deployment to end -users. The original Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued by the State of Montana ("Lead Entity") in collaboration with the Procurement Professionals Alliance (PPA) division and RFxPremier cooperative purchasing program. The purpose of the RFP was to establish one or more Master Agreements (MA) for Data Communications. The resulting Master Agreement(s) formed the new iteration of the Data Communications portfolio. The previous Data Communications portfolios were a strong and impactful set of contracts that garner significant usage to fulfill the communications needs of many entities throughout the United States. The prior piggyback, the State of Florida Cloud Solutions Contract (Alternate Contract Source No. 43230000-NASPO-I6-ACS) expired on September 15, 2026.
