<br />have made TLC Engineering for Architecture one of the largest building engineers in the country.

<br />The firm has expanded its services to include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural,
<br />communications, technology and security systems, LEED design and consulting, commissioning, and
<br />energy engineering. All disciplines are provided in-house. Our expertise is recognized in the
<br />sustainable engineering design of healthcare projects, high-rise residential and mixed-use, K-12 and
<br />higher education, aviation, and judicial buildings. Our staff includes 93 PE's, 31 EI's, 116 LEED
<br />Accredited Professionals and 27 ACG Certified Commissioning Authorities

<br />The TLC Miami office has a total staff of 16 employees, which includes, 5 Registered PEs, 2 Certified In
<br />Plumbing Design (CPD), 10 LEED Accredited Professionals and 2 Certified Commissioning Authorities.
<br />Some of our current clients are Miami-Dade Aviation Department, Port of Miami, Florida International
<br />University, Miami-Dade College, Florida Atlantic University, University of Miami, City of Hialeah and City
<br />of Miami Beach.

<br />Mechanical Engineering Services: Our expertise includes equipment replacements, energy efficiency
<br />and calculations, central energy plant modifications, pumping systems, plumbing design, heating, fire
<br />protection design, cooling/heating load calculations, ventilation (Indoor Air Quality Standards), as-built
<br />condition verification.

<br />Electrical Engineering Services: Our expertise includes lighting performance upgrades, short circuit
<br />analysis, emergency power, power distribution, lighting design, interior lighting design, lightning
<br />protection/surge suppression, CCTV /security system design, fire alarm systems, public address/clock
<br />systems, emergency power systems, computer power distribution and the latest technology in lighting
<br />controls.

<br />Sustainable Engineering -Our design/commissioning portfolio includes more than 63 LEED Certified
<br />projects and more than 150 LEED Registered projects - totaling more than 36 million square feet of
<br />sustainable space. HC provides LEED Consulting, LEED Administration, Energy Modeling and
<br />Commissioning Services.

<br />Energy Engineering - HC Engineers use a step-by-step approach to improve the performance of existing
<br />buildings for our clients through Energy Optimization-which considers the building envelope, HVAC,
<br />lighting and energy management systems; Water Efficiency-fixture and irrigation efficiency; and
<br />Environmental Quality. Then, we evaluate the costs to the building owner, the compliance with
<br />national energy consumption norms, and cost projections for power and water. Finally, we estimate
<br />financial savings and investment paybacks for various energy-saving options and can help create
<br />"budget neutral" solutions with our partners.
