<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
<br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NO. 02-12-01 TO
<br />PROFESSIONAL WELDING, INC., FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND
<br />INSTALLATION OF ALUMINUM FENCING AND GATES FOR
<br />OVERFLOW PARKING AREA FOR THE GOLDEN STRAND
<br />DEVELOPMENT, IN AN AMOUNT OF FORTY-NINE THOUSAND, SIX
<br />HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($49,628.00), ATTACHED
<br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
<br />SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
<br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THE
<br />AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to construct a fence for the overflow
<br />parking for the Golden Strand development, adjoining the site of the proposed City Hall; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City publicly advertised Invitation to Bid No, 02-12-01 for the purchase
<br />and installation of fencing and gates, and sent out bid packages to ten (10) potential bidders; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City received the following four (4) responsive bids for Alternative #2:
<br />Royce Parking Control Systems, Inc, $34,000,00 (Incomplete Bid Response)
<br />Professional Welding, Inc, $49,628,00
<br />Martin Fence Co, $61,236,00
<br />TEM Systems, Inc, $78,169,00
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City determined that Professional Welding, Inc" was the lowest most
<br />responsive, responsible bidder with a sealed bid of Forty-Nine Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty-
<br />Eight Dollars ($49,628,00); and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit "A",
<br />with Professional Welding, Inc" in an amount of $49,628,00, for the construction and installation
<br />of aluminum fencing and gates,
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
<br />
<br />Section 1, Incorporation of Recitals, The recitals set forth in this resolution are incorporated
<br />herein by reference as if fully set forth herein,
<br />
<br />Section 2, Award of Bid, The City Commission hereby awards Bid No, 02-12-01 for the
<br />construction and installation of fencing and gates for the overflow parking area for the Golden
<br />Strand, to Professional Welding, Inc,
<br />
