CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Edelcup at 6:30 p.m. with the following officials <br /> present: <br /> Mayor Norman S. Edelcup Acting City Manager Fred Maas <br /> Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler City Attorney Hans Ottinot <br /> Commissioner Isaac Aelion Asst City Manager/Finance Minal Shah <br /> Commissioner Jeanette Gatto City Clerk Jane A. Hines, CMC <br /> Commissioner George `Bud" Scholl Deputy City Attorney Fernando Amuchastegui <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/ INVOCATION <br /> Action: Acting City Manager Maas noted the 11th Anniversary of those who gave their lives <br /> on 9/11, and he led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. He, along with Katherine Alexander <br /> sang "God Bless America". City Historian Richard C. Schulman gave the invocation, and <br /> called for a moment of silence in memory of our Ambassador and the American patriots who <br /> lost their lives in Libya serving our nation,and also for Astronaut Neil Ar,Istrong who passed <br /> away this month. <br /> Mayor Edelcup gave opening remarks of decorum. <br /> 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 3A. Regular City Commission Meeting—July 19, 2012. <br /> Action: Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve <br /> the above mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5- <br /> 0 in favor. <br /> 3B. Special City Commission Meeting—August 21, 2012. <br /> Action: Commissioner Gatto moved and Commissioner Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a <br /> motion to approve the above mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved <br /> by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br />
