UNDER NORMAL OPERATION, THE SWITCH SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN THE AUTO POSITION AND NORMAL HVAC OR BUILDING AUTOMATION <br />SEQUENCES WILL TAKE PLACE. WHERE IN-DUCTOR AREA SMOKE DETECTORS ARE INSTALLED TO SERVE THE ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT, <br />ACTIVATION OF THE SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL TRANSMIT A SIGNAL TO CAUSE THE EQUIPMENT TO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN. <br />B. UPON TRANSFERRING OF AN HOA SWITCH TO THE ON OR OFF POSITION, PRIORITIZED FIRE ALARM SYSTEM OUTPUTS WILL BE SENT TO <br />INITIATE EQUIPMENT CONTROL VIA THE EQUIPMENT MOTOR STARTER, MOTOR CONTROL CENTER (MCC), VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE (VFD) <br />OR HVAC/BUILDING AUTOMATION CONTROL SYSTEM, TO COMMAND THE DESIRED SYSTEM OPERATION. <br />C. ONCE A MANUAL OVERRIDE SIGNAL IS RECEIVED, THE EQUIPMENT WILL BE SEQUENCED AS REQUIRED BY DIVISION 25. STATUS FEEDBACK <br />WILL BE REPORTED VIA CURRENT SENSOR, DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH, OR OTHER ACCEPTABLE METHOD OF STATUS CONFIRMATION, <br />AND WILL BE TRANSMITTED TO THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM VIA DEDICATED STATUS INPUT MODULES. <br />D. UPON RECEIPT OF THE CONFIRMATION SIGNAL, THE APPROPRIATE STATUS LED WILL ILLUMINATE AT THE HOA SWITCH TO INDICATE THE <br />SYSTEM'S ACTUAL STATUS. <br />E. UNDER NORMAL OPERATION, ALL ASSOCIATED SMOKE DAMPERS MONITORED AND CONTROLLED BY THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL BE OPEN <br />WHENEVER THE FAN IS ON, AND CLOSED WHEN THE FAN IS OFF.
