<br />© Copyright – Safety Point, Corp. – Materials developed for TGSV Enterprises, Inc. <br />Office Safety continued <br /> <br /> Follow procedures posted on copier when disposing of duplicating solvents or copy machines. <br /> <br /> Store sharp objects, such as pens, pencils, letter openers, or scissors in drawers or with the points down in a <br />container. <br /> <br /> Do not connect multiple electrical devices into a single outlet. <br /> <br /> Do not connect and/or use extension cords as permanent connections, this is a fire safety violation. <br /> <br /> Do not tilt the chair you are sitting in on its back two legs. <br /> <br /> Keep doors in hallways fully opened or fully closed. <br /> <br /> Use a staple remover, not your fingers, for removing staples. <br /> <br /> Open one file cabinet drawer at a time. <br /> <br /> Put heavy files in the bottom drawers of office cabinets. <br /> <br /> <br />Step Stools: <br /> <br /> Allow only one person on a step at a time. <br /> <br /> Face the step when climbing up or down. <br /> <br /> When performing work from a stool, face the stool and do not lean backwards or sideways from the step stool. <br /> <br /> Do not place a step stool on boxes, books, or other unstable bases. <br /> <br /> Do not stand on the top of the step stool. <br /> <br />Power Tools and Equipment <br /> <br />Company Equipment: All company equipment will be handled with care at all times. Equipment is expensive and <br />much of it requires proper training prior to using it. All damages, failures, problems, or loss of company equipment <br />must be reported to management immediately. Use of company property and equipment during hours other that <br />normal working hours or authorized overtime is forbidden. Company equipment may never be used for private or <br />personal use under any circumstances. Deliberate destruction or steeling of company equipment is considered a <br />serious offense. Violators will be expected to make reparations and will be subject to disciplinary action. <br /> <br />Machinery Operation and Repair: All operation and repairs will be done by trained personel only. Never oper ate <br />power tools, machinery, special equipment, or mechanical devices that you are unfamiliar with. Never try to repair <br />broken machinery if you are not properly trained or certified to do so. Makeshift repairs can be costly; they invalidate <br />product warranties, can further damage the equipment, can cause serious injuries, and can come out of your pocket.
