004 ti <br /> S e,.,n i= THIRTEENTH EXTENSION OF DECLARED LOCAL EMERGENCY <br /> • CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br /> 'I OI IV,'~ <br /> WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020, the City Manager declared a Local Emergency, as a result of <br /> COVID-19; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 252.38(3)(a)5., F.S., political subdivisions have the power and <br /> authority to declare a state of local emergency for a period of up to seven (7) days, which may be extended <br /> as necessary, in seven(7) day increments; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 19, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency <br /> for an additional seven (7) days, until March 25, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 26, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency <br /> for an additional seven (7) days, until April 1, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 2, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until April 8, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 9, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until April 15, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 16, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until.April 22, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 23, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven(7) days, until April 29, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 30, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until May 6, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 7, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until May 13, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until May 20, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 21, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until May 27, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 28, 2020, the City.Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven (7) days, until June 3, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 4, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br /> an additional seven(7) days, until June 10, 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, the City Manager has determined that a condition of extreme peril <br /> of public health and welfare continues to exist, thereby necessitating the continued state of emergency. <br />
