<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 20-07-01 23 <br /> <br /> <br />3.3 CONTINUING CONTRACT SERVICES <br /> <br />The contracts will be awarded on a qualification basis for each discipline. The Agreement <br />will provide for the fees for services, which Consultant shall charge the City and shall be <br />scope specific. The City will request a schedule of fees based on a detailed scope of work <br />for specific projects. The Consultant’s proposal shall further define the scope of work, <br />project timing, fees reimbursable and sub-consultants. The Consultant’s proposal will <br />either be approved, rejected, or negotiated by the City. A written Notice to Proceed which <br />may be in the form of a Purchase Order will be issued before work starts. Consultant shall <br />begin no work without a signed Purchase Order. <br /> <br />Proposer will be required to commit that the personnel and/or principals named in the <br />proposal shall remain assigned to the project throughout the period of the contract unless <br />provided for otherwise in a negotiated contract. No diversion or substitution of personnel <br />or principals will be allowed without submission of a written request with the qualifications <br />and experience of the proposed replacement. <br /> <br />Study and Report Phase <br /> <br />Identify and analyze requirements of governmental authorities having jurisdiction to <br />approve portions of the Project. Evaluate various alternate solutions available to the City <br />if described in the Request for Quotation. After consultation with the City, recommend to <br />City those solutions which, in Consultant’s professional judgment, best meet City’s <br />requirements for the Project. <br /> <br />Once agreement is in place, prepare a Report. This Report will be accompanied by <br />Consultant’s estimate of Total Project Cost for each solution which is recommended for <br />the Project, itemized as follows: estimate of Total Construction Cost, allowances for <br />contingencies, total cost of services provided by Consultant, and allowances for other <br />items and services included within the definition of Total Project Costs and identified by <br />the City. Furnish the Report to and review it with the City. Revise the report in response <br />to the City’s comments, as appropriate. Furnish ten final copies of the Report within the <br />stipulated period indicated in the Request for Quotation and Proposal. <br /> <br />Preliminary Design Phase <br /> <br />On the basis of selection by the City of the recommended solution, or modified solution <br />agreed upon by City and Consultant, prepare Preliminary Design documents consisting of <br />final design criteria, preliminary drawings, outline specifications, and written descriptions <br />of the Project. <br />
