<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 20-07-01 25 <br /> <br />Consultant shall provide to the City, and fee shall include, specifications on a disc or flash <br />drive, and drawings and as-built on the latest version of AutoCAD or other media as <br />required by the City. <br />CONSULTANT'S services under the construction Document Phase will be considered <br />partially complete when the bid documents are delivered to and accepted by the City, and <br />finally complete when the CADD drawings in. Estimates of Construction Costs - <br />CONSULTANT'S estimates of Construction Cost provided for herein are to be made on the <br />basis of industry recognized publications, historical price lists, or services estimating the <br />current cost of comparable construction in South Florida. <br /> <br />BIDDING PHASE <br /> <br />The Consultant shall attend all pre-bid conferences, prepare and distribute minutes. The <br />Consultant shall issue Addenda through the City’s Purchasing Administrator as appropriate <br />to clarify, correct, or change Bid Documents. <br /> <br />If Pre-Qualification of bidders is required as set forth in the Invitation to Bid, Consultant <br />shall assist City in developing qualification criteria, review qualifications of prospective <br />bidders, and recommend acceptance or rejection of the prospective bidders. <br /> <br />If requested, Consultant shall evaluate bids and bidders, and recommend award to the <br />City. For the purpose of payment to the Consultant, the Bidding Phase will terminate and <br />the services of the Consultant will be considered complete upon signing of an Agreement <br />with a Contractor, or cancellation of the project by the City prior to signing of agreement <br />with a Contractor. Rejection of bids by the City does not constitute cancellation of the <br />project. <br /> <br />Construction/Demolition Phase - General Administration of Construction <br />Document <br /> <br />Consultant shall endeavor to guard the City against defects and deficiencies in the work <br />of Contractors, and make written recommendation to the City that work fails to conform <br />to the Construction Documents. Based on such inspections, and the Contractor's <br />Applications for Payment, he will recommend the amount owing to the Contractor, and <br />will issue Certificates for Payment in such amount. These Certifications will constitute a <br />representation to the City, based on such inspections and the data comprising the <br />Application for Payment that the work has progressed to the point indicated. By issuing a <br />Certificate for Payment, the Consultant will also represent to the City that, to the best of <br />his know ledge, information, and belief, based on what his inspections have revealed, the <br />work is in accordance with the Construction Documents. The Consultant will conduct <br />inspections to determine the dates of substantial and final completion and recommend <br />the issuance of a final Certificate for Payment.
