Delivery of Cost-Conscious Design for Today and
Tomorrow
We have proven we can do more with less. We understand
that our clients are looking for a return on their investment—
both in terms of design and construction. Our work adds
value beyond the cost of our services, because we carefully
consider the strategies, materials and systems that achieve
project goals at the lowest cost and best enhance our clients’
business performance.
We strive to achieve client-specific design solutions that
deliver the highest value for each client dollar as we design
for their future as well as their present.
Experts in delivering projects on time and within the
established budget
Our team has developed proven project management
systems to ensure that your project is completed in the
specified timeframe and within your approved budget. We
place a great deal of importance on establishing attainable
schedule and budget goals at the beginning of the project
process, and our experience enables us to anticipate any
potential delays or overruns early in the process, so that we
can take action immediately and keep the project on track.
How will Perkins and Will exceed Sunny Isles Beach’s
expectations?
The success of civic/goverment projects are largely
determined by their process. The process sets the tone and
foundation for addressing the needs of the users, finding
economical and creative solutions based on those needs,
and designing environments that promotes the City’s
goals and ideals.
Perkins and Will has assembled a tailored team of
professionals that have collaborated successfully on various
local government projects. We consciously chose this team
in order to provide the City with a group of experts, well
versed in the design of misc. architecture, interiors and
landscape spaces.
Our entire management approach is focused on fulfilling
the project objectives and staying within the budget and on
schedule. Before any line is drawn, our team engages in a
thorough planning effort to establish a common set of goals
and objectives for all phases of the project. This planning of
the process is done with the City of Sunny Isles Beach and
is customized to meet the needs of all assignments from
this contract.
Communication with the City of Sunny Isles Beach
Good communication includes good listening. We will listen
to the goals, aspirations, expectations and needs for the
on-call projects. We want to understand what you need to
be successful. We also will convey the knowledge we possess
from previous experience in the City working on the Gateway
Community Center, Government Center Annex, Pedestrian
Bridge, etc. The goal is to not just meet current needs, but to
strongly position you for the future.
Communication with Consultants
The importance of consultant coordination cannot
be overstressed. Historically, the most significant
source of change orders during the construction
phase is a lack of coordination between systems in the
construction documents.
At the most basic level, coordination is the responsibility
of the design project team. The senior designers will be in
continuous communication with engineering and other
consultants to discuss and resolve coordination issues.
Regularly scheduled meetings will also be held to assure a
high level of coordinated effort.
In addition, only well-informed team members can make
project-appropriate decisions. The identification of
appropriate format and forum for information and its timely
distribution contribute to good communications.
Our Approach
13
RFQ 20-07-01 / Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA)
