Maser Consulting
Unmanned Aerial System, Terrestrial LiDAR and Imagery Mapping for the Great Falls-Dearborn Headworks
Spillway and Great Falls Diversion Dam
Cedar Falls, Greenville County, SC
Using our Pulse Aerospace Vapor 55 drone, together with a Riegl VUX LiDAR sensor and a mix of digital imagery
sensors, Maser Consulting provided UAS LiDAR mapping, a digital ortho-rectified image, oblique imagery, video &
CAD mapping files in support of the Great Falls-Dearborn Headworks Spillway and Great Falls Diversion Dam.
Standard Pacific Homes - Meadow Pointe IV
Wesley Chapel, Pasco County, FL
Provided survey services for the construction of Meadow Pointe IV, a planned community built by CalAtlantic Homes
(formerly Standard Pacific Homes). The 138-acre site houses 117 homes, six ponds, and a park. Services included
construction staking services for the initial land development of the planned community, as well as staking for the
ponds, lots, roads, walls, and all utilities for Phase 1 of the project. Provided staking for the walls and pond in Phase
2, along with mass grading of the street and lots.
All Aboard Florida Rail Project SR 528 Corridor Survey
City of Orlando, Orange County, FL
Survey Crew Chief providing Mobile LiDAR services and post-processed and delivered data in support of AMEC
Foster Wheeler and HNTB for design survey services for the planned All Aboard Florida Rail project, which spans
the state of Florida from Miami to Orlando. Tasks included utilizing Mobile LiDAR to capture 3D point cloud
information along a seven-mile stretch of SR 528 for the proposed rail design. Using this technology allowed rapid
collection of survey information and reduced safety risks for technical staff and the public. 3D extraction of features
and creation of FDOT compliant deliverables were also performed for this project.

SR 54 Design Build Survey Services, FDOT District 7
Pasco County, FL
Survey Crew Chief providing Mobile LiDAR services and post-processed and delivered data for this design-build
contract, which consisted of road widening, sidewalk design, and signal redesign for seven miles of SR 54.
Responsibilities included utilizing Mobile LiDAR, Static LiDAR, and Aerial LiDAR to create standard FDOT compliant
deliverables. TopoDOT was used to extract 3D break lines, features, and ground points for creation of a detailed
DTM and standard 2 planimetric files. This information was also combined with conventional boots on the ground
survey data and existing information provided by the FDOT from earlier surveys in order to completely cover the
corridor width. This investigation found about 70% of the corridor needed to be resurveyed, a process that was
completed in a timely matter by leveraging the LiDAR technology.
Topographic Surveying for Duval-Kingsland 230 KV Line R/W, NW
City of Jacksonville, Duvall County, FL
Utilizing RTK GPS to establish control for the traverse along the transmission line for a corridor survey along an
existing power line easement, with the purpose of locating the transmission line and redefining the easement for
Florida Power & Light. Due to the speed of the robotic total station, the 20-mile transmission line was traversed in
two weeks along with the location of property corners, transmission line towers, guy anchors, fences, crossing
roads, and sections corners. Using a laptop, was able to process the field work each night. The laptop and WIFI
mobile hotspot proved to be invaluable when searching for section corners away from the transmission line and
with internet access researched the section corners in real time from the survey truck. Upon completion of the field
work and with documentation from the client, the project surveyor was able to determine the proper location of the
easement. Then with the speed of the robotic total station, set approx. 42 concrete monuments in four work days.
Surveying Services for I-275-SR 60 Interchange, FDOT District 7
City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, FL
Involved in this project from site planning, HDS efforts and data processing, to deliverable creation. Responsible
for the processing of control traverses using StartNet least squares adjustments, conventional topographic data,
vertical level loops and HDS data extraction out of point clouds using TopoDOT. Project entailed the development
of detailed topographic and elevation data for numerous areas along the Interstate 275/State Road 60 interchange
in Tampa, FL. Working directly with FDOT District 7, developed a field plan to utilize High Definition Surveying
(HDS) and integrated RTK GPS/robotic total station survey techniques.
