RFQ NO. 20-07-01 – CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES / GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES Maser Consulting transportation assets and Construction Information Management (CIM) compliant real-time or post construction as-builts. GIS (Mobile Infrastructure Management Tools): Developed in-house by our GIS team, the Maser Consulting mobile management program supports collection, assessment and mapping of assets and provides real-time field communication and information sharing, or system-based asset management. This versatile program can be customized to manage physical assets as well as for monitoring and workflow applications. It can also be built upon to add assets and features, while keeping your staff and project workflow compliant, accessible, and safely operating. Subsurface Utility Services: Our Subsurface Utility specialists have recently adopted a solution which streamlines field efforts to control cost with real time collaboration to offer to our clients enhanced quality and reporting. Maser utilizes the custom mobile reporting and sharing platforms through Fulcrum & Basecamp that is geospatially accurate and provides real time data reporting to the Project Management team. These applications allow technicians, project management, and clients to see utility field sketches, notes, and test hole reports as they happen in the field. This allows for immediate coordination of crew’s location and effort, and review by managers. Project Managers troubleshoot and resolve challenges in the field. These mobile platforms involve all team members necessary to address or resolve any issue. The data received from these systems also provide additional QA/QC data points to ensure thoroughly reviewed and correct deliverables. Geotechnical: Geotechnical engineering is a constantly changing field that leverages new technologies to add value to projects and also to solve problems that previously either couldn’t be solved or were not solvable within the project budgets. Maser Consulting encourages a significant continuing education program (in addition to what is required to retain professional licensing) to keep the staff aware of innovations that could prove critical to the City on a variety of projects. In addition, we have a full suite of software for analyses of various situations to provide safe and cost-effective solutions. Utilizing cloud software and other communication methods, our field technicians provide quick and accurate feedback to the engineer in charge so that construction deficiencies/issues can be recognized earlier in the construction sequence and the City notified. COST CONTROL Our project managers actively utilize the project management portals included in BST Financial Software (Ver.10) to track and maintain project budgets. The final scope of work authorized by the client establishes the baseline for the official project budget. Cost-loaded CPM schedules for each assignment are tracked internally and updated weekly from actual time charged against the project, including project direct expenses. Please refer the “Ability to Complete Projects on Schedule and within Budget” included in Section E - Qualification Information and Assigned Personnel of this submittal for a listing of several project examples demonstrating the success of our Cost Control and Schedule management approach by providing comparisons of original contract fee to the final fees paid to Maser Consulting for similar projects anticipated for this contract.
