RFQ NO. 20-07-01 – CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES / GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES <br />Maser Consulting <br />FDOT District 1, D/W Subsurface Utility Designate, Locate and Coordination <br />Client: FDOT District 1 – F.R. Aleman & Associates <br />Contract Period: 2017 to Present <br />Total Fees to Date: (Task Work Assignments): $123,560 <br />Brief Description of Services: Under multiple task work <br />order assignments, Maser Consulting provided SUE and <br />survey support services for minor intersection <br />improvements, lighting upgrades, and other <br />miscellaneous traffic operations and safety improvements <br />throughout Glades, Desoto, Sarasota and Manatee <br />Counties. Our team was responsible for completing all <br />designating, locating and ground penetrating radar <br />services for existing surface and subsurface utilities in <br />support of the design and construction. Our staff provided <br />Quality Level B (2-D collection of existing utilities or selected 3-D verification) and Quality Level A <br />(obtaining 3-D location, size, type and condition of existing utility through non-destructive utility <br />excavation) Subsurface Utility Engineering in accordance with ASCE/CI 38-02. We utilized a variety of <br />geophysical prospecting equipment including variable frequency Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) <br />systems, single and multifrequency radio-frequency pipe and cable locators (PCLs), sondes, and sub- <br />aqueous utility detection equipment to accurately designate utilities. Maser staff have received extensive <br />training in designating toneable and non-toneable utilities, as well as safely exposing and locating existing <br />facilities on each of the project assignments. <br />Section E, Page 8
