E-65Proven solutionsResponsive and dependable performance <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 20-07-01: Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA) <br />CES provided general engineering services for the North Terminal Development (NTD) project, <br />a construction program to join the 11 gates already in operation at Miami International Airport. <br />Thirty-nine additional international & domestic gates will open in phases each year until the <br />project is completed, for a total of 50 gates. <br />There will be a new Federal Inspection Services <br />area at 400,000 square feet in size with 72 <br />service lanes, and it will have the capacity to <br />process 3,600 international passengers per <br />hour. To facilitate passenger connections <br />within this new, one-mile-long terminal, an <br />automated rooftop people-mover with four <br />stations is being built. The people-mover will <br />be able to transport 9,000 passengers per <br />hour. The North Terminal will be occupied by <br />American Airlines and its One World Alliance <br />and Code Share airline partners, and will <br />integrate American Eagle’s operation. However, CES, while <br />acting as part of the Owner’s Representative team, was able to manage weekly coordination <br />meetings and, through these meetings, discovered that the client was being billed for excess <br />materials which were not used by the contractor.
