<br />Improvements to the site to improve drainage and aesthetics included: ramp reconstruction, 259 LF of
<br />18” diameter RCP storm sewer, 201 LF of exfiltration trench, the raising of 160 LF of seawall, the
<br />installation of handicapped ramps, the addition of 43 new trees, the relocation of 7 existing trees, the
<br />addition of 2,118 new shrubs and the addition of 5 new parking lot lighting standards and fixtures.
<br />Floranada Road Traffic Calming Improvements | Oakland Park, Florida | Project Manager
<br />This project involved landscape architecture, professional engineering services for the design and
<br />permitting of traffic calming and other roadway improvements. The City of Oakland Park was seeking to
<br />implement traffic calming measures to enhance the safety of pedestrians and automobiles on Floranada
<br />Road between Dixie Highway and Federal Highway. Improvements surveyed, designed and permitted by
<br />Craven Thompson included traffic roundabouts at the roadway’s intersections with NE 13th Avenue and
<br />NE 16th Avenue. Two traffic chokers were installed at NE 15th Avenue and at NE 15th Terrace.
<br />Miramar Historical Area Complete Streets Project. Phase II | Miramar, Florida | Project Manager - Craven
<br />Thompson was selected to survey, design, permit, and provide construction services for Phase II of their
<br />Historical Area Complete Streets Project. The project includes surveying, landscape and engineering
<br />design, permitting and CEI for complete streets bounded by Pembroke Road to the north, County Line
<br />Road to the south, SW 62nd Avenue to the west, and SR 7 to the east. The project includes six (6) streets
<br />in the Historical Area. The improvements include: sidewalks, ADA ramps, crosswalks, pedestrian level
<br />lighting, landscaping and hardscape.
<br />NW 21st Avenue Broward County Right of Way | Broward County, Florida | Project Manager
<br />This 1.2-mile roadway project consisted of widening the existing three (3) lane road (north-south and bi-
<br />directional turn lane) to a five (5) lane roadway (2 north-south travel lanes and a bi-directional turn lane).
<br />The project included a 72” diameter regional storm drain system that will provide flood protection to
<br />approximately 500 acres of existing developments. The 72” storm drain was jacked under the CSX
<br />Railroad Tracks and a new outfall was constructed in the C-13 Canal. The work included approximately
<br />5,000 LF of water main and force main installation, curb and gutter, landscaping and irrigation, lighting
<br />and signalization. Patrick served as project manager for the project responsible for the inspections of
<br />multiple disciplines provided by sub-consultants and in-house inspectors.
<br />Davie Road Phase 1 CEI Services | Davie, Florida | Project Director - This project was for the construction
<br />engineering inspection services to re-construct a public roadway known as Davie Road Phase 1 within
<br />public right-of-way owned by Broward County extending from the State Road 84 Right-of-Way to Nova
<br />Drive. The length of the reconstruction was approximately 2,640 LF. The primary intent was for Craven
<br />Thompson to provide construction engineering inspection services for the re-construction of the roadway.
<br />The work consisted of pavement, base and sub-grade reconstruction, curb & gutter, bike lane, sidewalk
<br />and median construction, driveway reconstruction within the Right-of-Way, drainage system construction,
<br />landscaping & irrigation construction, pavement marking & signage, and traffic signal modification.
<br />NE 183rd Street Median Drainage Improvements | Aventura Florida | Project Manager
<br />Craven Thompson provided surveying, civil engineering, and CEI services for NE 183rd Street Median
<br />Drainage Improvements east of NE 27th Avenue. Mr. Gibney directed the preparation of design plans to
<br />rectify localized flooding by repaving a segment of the existing roadway. Prepared bid documents and
<br />assisted with RFI responses during construction.
<br />NW 10th Avenue Roadway & Streetscape Project | Oakland Park, Florida | Project Manager
<br />The scope of work includes design of 2,900 LF of roadway, landscaping, irrigation, photo-metrics,
<br />coordination, drainage, LAP services, etc. for the NW 10th Avenue Roadway Project from Park Lane West
<br />(NW 33rd Street) to Prospect Road, including preparation of contract documents and permitting.
