Project Approach and Understanding <br />Terracon's success with this type of contract stems from an experienced -based approach, led by senior <br />professional engineers, that reacts responsively to schedule demands, produces complete and reliable <br />technical reports and proactively implements cost control measures. We commit to the City that same <br />level of service for the duration of this contract. <br />Innovative Concepts <br />Terracon is always looking towards technology as a means of increasing our effectiveness and <br />transparency for our clients. <br />Terracon has full connectivity between our field personnel on the project, <br />office engineering staff, and our clients. Each of our field personnel are <br />equipped with a laptop and a smartphone to streamline and expedite �, 0 <br />communication related to our services. This technology optimizes our <br />communications with our clients and ensures critical information is <br />transmitted quickly to the project team. In order to receive and provide <br />instant communications directly to/from a project site during construction <br />and to expedite resolution of non-conformance issues, Terracon <br />personnel utilize their laptops so that report forms can be filled out and, if necessary, copies of project <br />drawings can be annotated to reflect observation locations and constructed conditions for ease of <br />reporting and clarification of site conditions. <br />Terracon is always looking towards technology as a means of increasing our <br />effectiveness and transparency for our clients. One example is the "Site Safety Check- 7r <br />In" app on Terracon smartphones. Terracon project managers and supervisors are <br />expected to perform field visits and safety inspections on staff in the field/plants. The <br />inspections are performed on the app which provides a safety checklist that the inspector completes <br />and then downloads for distribution to the appropriate employees to review. Another app developed <br />by Terracon allows all employees to report "near -misses" on their smartphones so these incidents <br />can be shared and researched to prevent similar near -misses or injuries. <br />Terracon's GeoReport replaces the old-fashioned paper-based, static, <br />bound report that has been used for over a century. This new web -based 4 s.=' <br />approach facilitates real-time collaboration and encourages innovation. °G,T <br />AL <br />GeoReport brings information and opinions to the design team, owner, <br />and all stakeholders as they are occurring. All parties can join in the V. <br />communication.
