Coastal Systems maintains a full inventory of equipment including GPS
receivers, survey vessels, fathometers, total stations, towed underwater video, current
meters and other related equipment. The team utilizes GIS to process and import a variety
of data from multiple sources for analysis combining land and waterbared equipment.

Coastal Systems has demonstrated project experience providing marine resource
assessment and monitoring consulting services. Services range from resource mapping,
species identification, hardbottom monitoring, seagrass restoration planning and design,
as well as mangrove assessment and design. These marine resource surveys are essential
for the planning of waterfront improvements in order to understand potential impacts of
proposed improvements with respect to seagrass and other resources. In-house marine
biologists conduct the surveys with specialized equipment such as towed-underwater video
mapping systems, facilitating proper design. The Coastal Systems team has full data
processing capabilities including digital terrain models for topographic contour maps and
earthworks/dredging calculations. Marine resource data is incorporated into these maps.

Civil EngineeringCivil EngineeringCivil EngineeringCivil Engineering

Coastal Systems’ civil engineers work closely with diverse project teams to provide civil
engineering services for site development and improvements. Paving, grading and drainage
design services are provided along with water and sanitary sewer services. Working
relationships are maintained with Florida state and local regulatory agencies with jurisdiction
on site planning projects to facilitate plans approval through the stringent codes and
regulations.

Coastal Systems’ team works effectively for the successful implementation of projects on
local, state and federal levels. Our Miami-based firm has been dedicated to building a solid
reputation as a professional, innovative, and technically superior team committed to client
satisfaction. Our engineering team works closely with local municipalities on the design of
new urban plan developments, off-site improvements and public/private on-site
developments. Among the services provided for these projects are design for water and
sewer mains or service connections, and stormwater management including paving,
grading, and drainage design.

Frequently utilized drainage management systems include roof and Right-of-Way drainage
systems that harvest rainwater for the purpose of irrigation to large planting areas
subsequent to the flooding event. The systems are designed to contain the full amount of
water produced by storm events to satisfy state and local requirements for 25-year (3-day)
and 100-year (1-day) events.
