He was involved with the design for the drainage and grading for the new <br />sidewalks, parking lot and pavilions. As part of this project, the City Hallandale requested for all of the existing sidewalks surrounding the park to be <br />extended to 8’ sidewalks. Coordinated was closely coordinated with the Landscape Architect for the relocation of the existing trees as well as <br />relocating existing catch basins. Permits for onsite and offsite were obtained from the City of Hallandale Beach, Broward County EPD, and FDOT <br />drainage connection permit since this site was within 500’ of an FDOT right-of-way. Mr. Garris inspected the site during construction to ensure that the <br />project was constructed in accordance with the design plans. He also reviewed and approved the shop drawings and certified the drainage with <br />Broward County EDP. Mr. Garris provided grading <br />and drainage design solutions to help alleviate the flooding by the portables and sidewalks. New rainwater leaders were designed to be connected to <br />the drainage system and the new system will connection to the existing main drainage system. Project has been permitted with the Palm Beach <br />County School District and is currently under construction. This design included 11,500 linear feet of new 8” <br />and 12” sewer main, 850 linear feet of force main, and 5,800 linear feet of 8”, 10” and 12” watermain along NW 22nd Ave. All the residents in that <br />area will be required to abandon their existing septic systems and connect to the new sewer lateral that will be designed for each house. Through <br />this new project, each property will be provided a new 6” sanitary sewer lateral, new water meter and water service that is connected to the new <br />mains in the street. Const. The watermain had to be offset from the median due to the large trees’ roots destroying the pipe.
