<br />Structural Engineer for the rehabilitation of a 35,000-foot-long bridge over the ocean, which is a critical bridge linked to the Florida Keys.
<br />This bridge is in the most extreme corrosive marine environment possible, with structural elements permanently in the splash zone
<br />resulting in accelerated corrosion, and constant cracks, spalls, and delaminations. Responsibilities included assessment of the existing
<br />structural condition and preparation of a design and plans for the bridge rehabilitation and for corrosion protection systems.
<br /> Mr. Dover's primary structural experience is in concrete and
<br />steel bridge design, including advanced structural modeling, and bridge inspection, as well as miscellaneous structures design ranging from
<br />retaining walls, overhead signs, traffic signals, to buried drainage structures. His experience includes phase review, design management,
<br />and construction project management. Work experience includes private, municipal, county, state, and federal clients.
<br />MacArthur Causeway East Bridge Repairs, Miami, Florida (FDOT D6 Project)
<br />Structural Engineer assisting in the design of a temporary work platform at Pier 26 required for the implementation of concrete
<br />rehabilitation repairs for the existing pier cap. Greg completed the timber design for the proposed temporary platform and reviewed
<br />structural calculations and plans submitted to the contractor for submittal to FDOT. Construction Cost: $6M
<br />Port Everglades Access Ramps, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 2020 2020
<br />Structural Engineer assisting in the design of a temporary bracing system to support the proposed AASHTO Type II, III and IV beams
<br />specified for the construction of two access ramps at terminal 4 of Port Everglades in Broward County, Florida. Mr. Dover prepared
<br />calculations for the tension member coil rod and compression member timber frames and specified the required location for each
<br />of the multiple spans under construction. Construction Cost: $7M.
<br />SW 136th Street Bridge Replacement, Miami, Florida.
<br />(Miami-Dade County Project)
<br />EOR and Project Manager for a replacement of a bridge on SW 136th St. over a canal. Bridge was designed as a 3-span continuous
<br />deck slab, supported on pile bents and pile end bents. Special bridge aesthetics were coordinated with the County and municipalities to
<br />further enhance the end user experience. This project required the incorporation of the approach roadway including sidewalks as well
<br />as the preparation of MOT plans to ensure access was provided at all times to vehicles and pedestrians. Construction Cost: $1.5M.
