The Tennis Center includes 12 tennis courts and an office/Pro-Shop. As part of BEA Architects Continuing Services Contract with the City of Miami Beach, BEA was assigned to design a fully enclosed, air conditioned modern facility that would serve as the new office and Pro Shop. The original office and Pro-Shop was located within an open air building that featured a breezeway like structure. The project involved the demolition of select areas and enhancements to the existing open air breezeway tennis area. The upgraded office / Pro Shop building has new interior finishes, new lighting, impact resistant windows to protect the facility during the hurricane season in Florida. BEA also integrated a new reception area, offices, conference room, flexible casual seating for parents and visitors, enhanced security and a contemporary retail environment. The project was completed within the City’s budget and time scheduled, and without disruption to the Tennis Center’s ongoing operations. <br />Previous Experience
