Martinez, PE 1 | Page <br />Mr. Martinez has over 30 years of experience in structural engineering <br />design and inspection in the areas of buildings, environmental structures, <br />marine facilities as well as park facilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Martinez provides design and preparation of construction documents for projects that have included new construction, <br />remodeling, renovations, additions, ADA upgrades, life safety issues, code compliance, 40-year certifications and inspections. In <br />addition, Mr. Martinez has provided construction administration services which have included cost estimates, bidding assistance, <br />contractor selection assistance, attendance at pre-construction meetings, bid-meeting, assistance with RLI's, verification and <br />approval of pay requisitions based on inspections of the completeness of the project. These services have varied on the <br />individual needs of the clients. <br /> <br />Mr. Martinez’s institutional related project experience includes: <br /> <br />Miami Dade College Continuing Services Contract, Miami, FL. PMM Consulting Engineers, Corp. was awarded a contract to <br />provide structural engineering services on a Task Order basis where the construction costs would not exceed $200,000. <br /> <br />Task orders to date have included: <br /> <br />• Building 1000 Woflson Campus Cooling Tower Structural reinforcing. Project included analyzing the structural integrity of the <br />ageing concrete structural elements that support/brace precast concrete panels. The results showed a need for <br />repairs/restoration to the concrete elements surrounding the precast concrete panels. <br />• Building 7000 Pool Repairs. Due to equipment repairs and replacements to the pool area <br />there was a need for structural improves which included the pool equipment room, chemical <br />storage room, pool deck, pool coping, perimeter concrete guard wall and concrete stands. <br />• Wolfson Campus Rooftop Structural Repairs. Based on site inspections performed it was <br />determined there was a need for contractor to install additional “hairpins” around the column <br />for reinforcements. PortMiami Continuing Services Contract - Capital Development Program, Port of Miami, <br />Miami, FL- Dodge and Lummus Island Development. Provided design and construction <br />administration services for a series of projects during the development of both Dodge and <br />Lummus Island. Some of the project included: <br /> <br />o Gantry Crane Support Rail and Bulkheads - Lummus Island - Wharf II through Wharf VI <br />o Rubber Tire Gantries (RTG's.) at the Maersk site located at the East end of Lummus <br />Island <br />o North Roll on/Roll off Platforms - Lummus Island <br />o South Roll on/Roll off Platforms – Lummus Island <br />o Southwest Terminal Bulkhead - Dodge Island <br />o Passenger Terminal 6 & 7 Bulkhead - Dodge Island <br />o MSRC warehouse and bulkhead facility <br />o Container berths <br /> The Cassina at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Miami, FL. Structural repairs to the Cassina where concrete columns and <br />beams were spalling. Testing was performed to evaluate the structural integrity and chorine content in the concrete which was <br />causing the steel reinforcement to corrode. After performing testing, it was determined there was a need to remove and replace <br />the columns. Mr. Martinez was personally involved during the testing, design and implementation of the repairs. <br /> <br />Paul A.
