Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: <br />Sylvia Flores, Director of Cultural & Community <br />Services <br />DATE: <br />9/17/2020 <br />RE: <br />Second Amendment to Agreement with Elite Tent <br />Company <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is presented for your consideration. <br />REASONS: <br />In 2016, the City issued ITB No. 16-08-01 for Event Related <br />Equipment Rental. This bid was awarded to Jacey Investments LLC <br />D/B/A Elite Tent Company. The agreement was entered into for a term <br />of 3 years, with an contract amount of $150,000.00. <br />In 2019, the First Amendment to this agreement was executed, <br />renewing the agreement for an additional term of one year through <br />October 31, 2020, and providing for additional compensation in the <br />amount of $70,000.00. <br />This Second Amendment will renew the agreement for one additional, <br />final year, and provide for additional compensation in the amount of <br />$30,000.00, bringing the contract total not -to -exceed amount to <br />$250,000.00. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />Due to COVID-19, and the cancellation of many programs and events, <br />we have not utilized Elite Tent since March, however, we would like to <br />have this agreement in place, with the hopes that we can re -introduce <br />events in the near future, with COVID safety measures in place, once <br />permitted to do so by Miami Dade County. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funding is budgeted for and available in 001-6-5730-444040-XXXXX <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Description <br />Resolution <br />Second Amendment <br />Item Number: 10.0. <br />
