<br />CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 01010-2 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />and that additional items of work not stated are required. The sequence of construction is <br />a precedence requirement and does not attempt to schedule the CONTRACTOR's work. <br />It is intended only to indicate which activities must precede other activities in order to <br />minimize interference and disruptions. <br />D. The existing facilities shall be maintained in an operable condition by the CONTRACTOR <br />during construction (excluded from this requirement are all normal and emergency <br />maintenance functions normally performed by the CITY with the CITY's staff or by <br />Contract.) All work by the CONTRACTOR that disrupts the normal operations shall be <br />shown on the Construction Schedule and specifically scheduled with the CITY. Schedule <br />notification shall consist of a written notice defining the work to be accomplished, the <br />function that will be interrupted, the duration of the interruption, and the mitigating effort to <br />be performed by the CONTRACTOR to maintain the service continuously. The written <br />notice shall be submitted to the ENGINEER 14 days in advance of the proposed work and <br />the ENGINEER will respond to the CONTRACTOR in writing within 7 days of receipt of <br />the notice regarding the acceptability of the proposed plan. <br />E. In performing the work in the sequence described hereinafter, all requirements of the <br />Contract Documents shall be strictly followed. <br />F. The general sequence of construction for the Golden Shores Street Lighting shall be as <br />follows, but a detailed Sequence of Construction shall be submitted by the CONTRACTOR <br />and approved by the CITY and the ENGINEER before any work is started. The <br />CITY/ENGINEER reserves the right to make changes to the sequence as necessary to <br />facilitate the work or to minimize any conflict with operations and other contractors. <br />Step 1 Mobilize for work. Set up storage, staging and parking areas. Obtain permits, <br />develop and submit construction schedule, collect pre-construction video, and <br />start shop drawing submittal. <br />Step 2 Contractor to conduct site walk-through noting obstructions of work to City. <br />Step 3 Contact utility location service and the CITY prior to commencing work. Have <br />locates done for the work area specified in the Contract Documents. <br />Step 4 Verify locations, elevations, location and all other existing conditions, etc., <br />before ordering materials to complete the work in accordance with the Contract <br />Documents. Use exploratory test pits and trenches as necessary to verify field <br />conditions. <br />Step 5 Upon approval of shop drawings, order all long lead items so that materials <br />may be delivered in a timely fashion without delays to construction. <br />Step 6 The CONTRACTOR shall establish and maintain a management of traffic plan <br />for the duration of the project in accordance with City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />requirements. <br />Step 7 Install light poles and base . Location of poles on plans are general, exact <br />location to be verified with City prior to installation. <br />Step 8 Install conduit, pull-boxes, and surface mounted equipment. <br />Step 9 Perform all patch and repair work. <br />Step 10 Energize services and remove existing poles. <br />Step 11 Miscellaneous work, site restoration, demobilization and related closeout <br />activities shall be in accordance with Section 01700, "Project Closeout".
