<br />CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 01010-3 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />1.05 ABANDONMENT AND SALVAGE OF EXISTING FACILITIES <br />A. The scope of work requires the CONTRACTOR to interface with existing lighting which <br />will be reconnected, abandoned or otherwise removed and/or relocated as part of the <br />work. Prior to beginning any work, associated with existing facilities to be abandoned, <br />salvaged, or otherwise remove d or relocated, the CONTRACTOR shall inform the <br />ENGINEER of his intent so that all arrangements can be made with the CITY for <br />disconnecting electrical service (where appropriate), or otherwise removing existing <br />facilities from service to the extent possible. The CONTRACTOR shall not proceed without <br />written authorization from the ENGINEER. <br />1.06 REHABILITATION <br />A. Certain areas of existing structures, roadway, driveway, sidewalk, piping, conduits, swale, <br />shrubs and the like will be affected by work necessary to complete modifications under <br />this Contract. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to rehabilitate those areas affected <br />by its construction activities. <br />B. Disposal of Debris: All debris, materials, piping, and miscellaneous waste products from <br />the work described in this section shall be removed from the project as soon as possible. <br />They shall be disposed of in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local <br />regulations. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for determining these regulations and <br />shall bear all costs or retain any profit associated with disposal of these items. <br />1.07 CONTRACTOR USE OF PROJECT SITE <br />A. The CONTRACTOR's use of the project site shall be limited to its construction operations, <br />including on-site storage of materials, on-site fabrication facilities, and field offices, as <br />noted on the Contract Drawings. <br />1.08 CITY USE OF THE PROJECT SITE <br />A. The CITY may utilize all or part of the existing facilities during the entire period of <br />construction for the conduct of the CITY's normal operat ions. The CONTRACTOR shall <br />cooperate with the CITY to minimize interference with the CONTRACTOR's operations <br />and to facilitate the CITY's operations. <br />1.09 COORDINATION WITH OTHER CONTRACTS - NOT USED. <br />1.10 PARTIAL UTILIZATION OF THE WORK BY CITY <br />A. The CONTRACTOR is hereby advised that the CITY may accept the responsibility for the <br />maintenance and protection of a specific portion of the project if utilized prior to completion. <br />However, the CONTRACTOR shall retain full responsibility for satisfactory operati on of <br />the total project. <br />1.11 PERMITS <br />A. It shall be the CONTRACTOR's responsibility to secure all permits of every description <br />required to initiate and complete the work under this contract, except permits obtained by <br />the CITY. <br />B. No separate or direct payment will be made to the CONTRACTOR for permits and <br />inspection requirements, but all such costs shall be included in the applicable items in the <br />Schedule of Prices. The CITY will furnish signed and sealed sets of Contract Documents <br />for permit use as required. <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish to the ENGINEER copies of all permits prior to <br />commencement of work requiring permits.
