<br />CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 01010-4 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />1.12 FIELD ENGINEERING <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall employ a Land Surveyor registered in the State of Florida and <br />acceptable to the ENGINEER. The CONTRACTOR shall locate and protect survey control <br />and reference points. <br />B. Provide Field Engineering Services: Establish elevations, lines, and levels, utilizing <br />recognized engineering survey practices. <br />C. <br />1.13 DIMENSIONS AND LOCATIONS OF EXISTING STRUCTURES, PIPING AND UTILITIES <br />A. Where the dimensions and locations of existing structures, piping and utilities are of critical <br />importance in the installation or connection of new work, the CONTRACTOR shall verify <br />such dimensions and locations in the field before the fabrication of any materials or <br />equipment which is dependent on the correctness of such information. <br />1.14 CONSTRUCTION VIDEO <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall digitally record the entire project site including all concrete and <br />asphalt pavements, curb and gutter, houses, landscaping, structures to be demolished. <br />The recording shall be turned over to the ENGINEER prior to beginning construction <br />activities. The recording shall be turned over electronically on DVD format only. The <br />recording shall clearly identify existing site and structural conditions prior to construction. <br />CONTRACTOR shall record all driveways and landscaping of residences adjacent to <br />project site in sufficient detail to properly document pre -construction conditions. <br />1.15 GUARANTEE/WARRANTY <br />A. The Contractor shall guarantee that all new equipment has the capacity specified and that <br />it will operate without excess noise or vibration. <br />B. Contractor shall furnish written warranties for the work covering all workmanship and <br />materials for a minimum period of one year from the date of issuance of a Certificate <br />of Occupancy (CO) by the Building Official (unless a longer period is specified <br />elsewhere in the contract documents for specific equipment or systems). This shall in clude <br />an agreement to repair or replace, at the Contractor’s expense, all defects that may appear <br />in that time, which in the opinion of the Engineer, are due to defective workmanship or <br />materials. All items not having a successful five -year operating history shall have the same <br />guarantee as above but extended for five years less their successful operating period. <br />C. All factory warranties shall have an effective date of one year from the date of <br />substantial completion of the work, or when equipment is placed into service for <br />beneficial use, whichever comes first. Copies of factory warranties for all equipment <br />furnished shall be submitted as described above, with the written guarantee, and shall be <br />included in operation and maintenance manuals. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION (NOT USED) <br /> - END OF SECTION -
