D-20 <br />RFQ 20-10-01 Professional Engineering and Architectural Services for Pedestrian Bridge with Park Elements Across A1A at 174th St. CCNA D <br />ASA Consultants, Inc. (ASA) is an FDOT certified <br />firm that offers highway and structural engineering <br />services. ASA specializes in all facets of highway and <br />structural engineering, and will be performing peer <br />review for this project. They are organized in distinct <br />service niches - that include minor, major, and complex <br />roadway design, miscellaneous structures and minor <br />and major bridge design, conventional bridge inspection and bridge load rating, and signing, pavement <br />marking, and channelization and qualified under FDOT Work Groups 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2 <br />, 4.2.3, 5.1, 5.4, and 7.1. ASA has worked exclusively in South Florida, primarily in FDOT Districts 4 and 6. <br />In addition, ASA has served as staff augmentation for FDOT D4 for the past three years. <br />ASA consultants was involved in design and construction plans for the emergency pedestrian bridge over <br />the Intracoastal waterway, locally known as Town Center Park Canal, between NE 174th St. and NE 172nd <br />St., along North Bay Road, City of Sunny Isles Beach. This project was within a very tight right-of-way, and <br />included replacement of existing sea walls on the north side of the canal. <br />LARS engineering, Inc. (LARS), an FDOT certified firm for the past decade, has inspected over 1,500 <br />Bridges in the State of Florida, including pedestrian bridges. LARS recently performed the initial inspection <br />for the Pedestrian Bridge at Hard Rock Stadium, in the City of Miami Gardens. They are knowledgeable of <br />the latest inspection and reporting techniques and procedures established by FHWA. LARS’ commitment <br />includes reviewing all kinds of inspection reports of pedestrian bridges to determine the most common <br />type of deficiencies found in the history of repairs. They bring an unmatchable mixture of experience and <br />dedication to guarantee that the quality of work exceeds expectations. LARS’ key staff have completed <br />several FHWA-NHI training classes, including safety Inspection of in-service Bridges. <br />Choice Engineering Consultants, Inc. (Choice), is a DBE, SBE, Civil Engineering firm - specializing in <br />Roadway and Traffic Engineering. Choice provides design solutions in Traffic Engineering and Operations <br />Studies, Traffic Safety Analysis, Traffic Operations Design, and ADA compliance support and planning. Since <br />its inception in 2015, Choice has been proudly selected to serve as FDOT’s Districtwide Signal Retiming <br />Consultant for Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, and has served FDOT District 6 for the past five years. <br />Janus Research is a Cultural Resources Management (CRM) firm that consistently provides the FDOT with <br />high-quality cultural resource management services. They have a solid understanding of the challenges <br />posed by federal laws, regulations, and guidelines, and know how to negotiate the complex process of State <br />Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and regulatory approval. They excel at developing creative mitigation <br />strategies with little or no impact to construction schedules.
