BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost)
For more than 80 years, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) has provided safe and reliable
transportation infrastructure throughout its 140 -mile jurisdiction. The agency owns and operates 20 bridges crossing the
Delaware River from several facilities, including the Trenton -Morrisville and New Hope buildings in District 1. In addition
to housing administrative, operations, and maintenance staff, these structures also support the DRJTBC's 24-hour
district -wide operations for nine crossings. The DRJTBC is currently replacing the Scudder Falls bridge, which will result in
the need for expanded maintenance capacity.
As a result, Gannett Fleming was selected to analyze the maintenance and operational needs of the Trenton -Morrisville
site, and develop a Concept Study Report to outline facility alternatives. Our firm provided architectural planning, space
programming, conceptual design, and 3D architectural renderings for four proposed administration and operations
building options. Recently, we were selected to begin the design of the DRJTBC's preferred option, which includes a new
Trenton -Morrisville facility to house Operations and Maintenance staff, as well as the reconfiguration of the New Hope
Building.
Our firm is currently providing architectural design; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; industrial design;
civil engineering; and information technology (IT) consulting to redevelop the Trenton -Morrisville site and renovate the
New Hope building.
For Trenton -Morrisville, we are designing new building components, including the Operations Building, Vehicle and
Equipment Storage Building, Vehicle Maintenance Building, an elevated walkway, and a salt storage facility. New
site components include a fuel station and canopy, design of temporary elevator for toll personnel and high -security
components, design and bid specifications for a new hydraulic elevator, standby generators, new magnesium chloride
(MgCI) and brine tanks, a garbage compactor/dumpster, a deicing pedestal/station, and a salt conveyor.
26.
