BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Pedelta is the lead designer and bridge designer for this signature DB project of the City of Toronto. The <br />project includes two network tied arch bridges to cross the railway corridors. The bridges are designed in <br />duplex stainless steel on the entire structure an unprecedented technical accomplishment in North America. <br />The structure has an extended life cycle, is more corrosion -resistant and requires less maintenance, reducing <br />its overall cost. Each bridge is supported by a single arch rib inclined outward to provide a slender, <br />transparent, and elegant experience for users. The two arches tilt in opposite direction expressing a modern, <br />understated, and elegant aesthetic. Contract Value: CAD$15.9M. <br />Project Completed in September 2019. <br />Award of Excellence (Bridge Category) in December 2019 by the Canadian Institute for Steel Construction <br />25.
