1.6 Certificate of Substantial Completion — Certificate provided by the City certifying <br />that all Work, excluding the punch list items, has been completed, inspected, and <br />accepted by the City. <br />1.7 Change Order — A change order is defined as a written order to a contractor <br />approved by the City, authorizing a revision of an underlying agreement between <br />the City and a contractor that is directly related to the original scope of work or an <br />adjustment in the original contract price or the contract time directly related to the <br />original scope of work, issued on or after the effective date of the contract. <br />1.8 City — The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida including but not limited to its <br />employees, agents, officials, representatives, contractors, subcontractors, <br />volunteers, successors and assigns, with whom the Contractor has entered into <br />the Agreement and for whom the Work is to be provided. <br />1.9 Contract Documents — The Contract Documents shall consist of this Agreement, <br />Exhibits to this Agreement, Public Construction Bond, Performance Bond, <br />Payment Bond and Certificates of Insurance, Notice of Award and Notice to <br />Proceed, General Conditions as amended by the Special Conditions, Technical <br />Specifications, Plans/Drawings, Addenda, Bid Form and supplement Affidavits <br />and Agreements, all applicable provisions of State and Federal Law and any <br />modification, including Change Orders or written amendments duly delivered after <br />execution of Agreement, Invitation to Bid, Instructions to Bidders and Bid Bond, <br />Contractor's response to the City's Invitation to Bid, Schedule of Completion, <br />Schedule of Values, all amendments, modifications and supplements, change <br />orders and work directive changes issued on or after the Effective Date of the <br />Agreement, as well as any additional documents that are required to be submitted <br />under the Agreement. <br />Permits on file with the City and or those permits to be obtained shall be <br />considered directive in nature and will be considered a part of this Agreement. A <br />copy of all permits shall be given to the City for inclusion in the Contract <br />Documents. Terms of permits shall be met prior to acceptance of the Work and <br />release of the final payment. <br />1.10 Contract Price — The monies payable to the Contractor by the City under the <br />Contract Documents and in accordance with the line item unit prices listed in the <br />Bid. <br />1.11 Contract Time — The number of calendar days stated in the Agreement for the <br />completion of the Work. The dates on which the work shall be started and shall <br />be completed as stated in the Notice to Proceed. <br />1.12 Contractor — The person, firm, company, or corporation with whom the City has <br />entered into the Agreement, including but not limited to its employees, agents, <br />CAM 20-0192 <br />C-2 EXHIBIT 3 <br />Page 2 of 46 <br />
