The project, while still capable of being transited by the occasional emergency vehicle, was reconceived as a public space <br />focused on the pedestrian, human experience. Strategies of tactical urbanism were employed to pedestrianize the experience, together <br />with built-in planters, landscaping and furnishings. <br />2008 2018 <br />Civic Center Park (530 Crandon) <br />Key Biscayne, Florida <br />Project Manager/Lead Designer: Responsible for conceptualizing, designing and developing all construction plans needed to for a high- <br />end, high-quality passive park that will become a cornerstone of the Village’s civic core. Responsible for the custom design of sculptural <br />elements and the specification of unique finishes that spoke to the expectations of the community. Capable of obtaining Village Council <br />support and backing for the proposed design (the Village had attempted the same process with 4 previous consultants and none <br />were capable to provide the Council with what they could all agree on). Responsible for all public engagement and for ensuring <br />the incorporation of the Village’s Landscape Committee and Arts and Culture Committee into the process, as public art was a large <br />component of the project. <br />2016 2021 (estimated) <br />41
