Summary Minutes: Hybrid Regular City Commission Meeting March 18, 2021 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />6 <br />10D. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Ratifying <br />First Amendments to the Agreements with Disaster Program & Operations, Inc. and <br />Tidal Basin Government Consulting, LLC. to Provide Disaster Debris Monitoring <br />Services; Authorizing the City Manager and the City Attorney to Do All Things Necessary to <br />Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Betancur read the title, and City Manager Christopher Russo reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Goldman moved, and Commissioner Lama seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution. Resolution No. 2021-3181 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10E. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Ratifying <br />First Amendments to the Agreements with DRC Emergency Services, LLC. and <br />CrowderGulf Joint Venture, Inc. to Provide Disaster Debris Removal Services; <br />Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; <br />Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Betancur read the title, and City Manager reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Goldman moved, and Commissioner Lama seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution. Resolution No. 2021-3182 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10F. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Expressing <br />Support For Senate Bill 334 And House Bill 229 Which Would Allow Local <br />Governments To Regulate Smoking in Parks And On Beaches; Urging The Florida <br />Legislature And Governor Ron DeSantis To Support And Approve The Legislation; <br />Directing The City Clerk To Distribute Copies Of This Resolution; Providing For An <br />Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Betancur read the title, and Vice Mayor Svechin reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: None. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Svechin moved, and Commissioner Viscarra seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2021-3183 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10G. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Directing <br />the City Manager to Pursue the SIB Pedestrian Safety Recommendations Which <br />Include a Detailed and Comprehensive Policy of Active Policing Across the City <br />Resulting in Increased Traffic Enforcement in Hotspot Locations at/near Crosswalks <br />Within the City; Directing the City Manager to Request that Florida Department of <br />Transportation and Miami-Dade County Analyze Proposed Changes to Speed Limits <br />and Crosswalk Designs/Features for their Respective Roads; Providing for an Effective <br />Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Betancur read the title, and Commissioner Goldman reported.
