Part F. Section 3.1(a) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C-3.1 City Manager (a) No Commissioner shall be eligible for appointment as City Manager during the term for which s/he has been elected and until twe-(2) five 5 years after its expiration. The City Manager need not be a resident of the City. Part G. Section 3.5 of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C-3.5 City Clerk The Git., FnaR. geF shall -,.,.,9iRt aThe Mayor shall nominate and the Commission, including the Mayor, by majority, shall confirm an individual to serve as the City Clerk (the "Clerk") under such terms and conditions as may be established by the Commission, from time to time, consistent with this Charter. The Clerk shall report to the Commission and, after full consideration, may be removed by a majority vote of the total membership of the Commission. The Clerk shall give notice of Commission meetings to its members and the public, shall keep the minutes of the City's proceedings which shall be a public record, and is authorized to administer oaths, attest to the Mayor's or Manager's signatures, and shall perform such other duties as the City ManageF Commission may prescribe from time to time. The Gity Clerk shall Fepert to the City MaRageF and may be Femoved by the -Qty MaRageF. Part H. Section 3.6 of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C-3.6 City Attorney The Mayor shall nominate, and the Commission, including the Mayor, by majority shall confirm an individual attorney or a law firm to act as the City Attorney under such terms and conditions as may be established by the Commission, from time to time, consistent with this Charter. The City Attorney shall report to the Commission and, after full consideration, may be removed by a majority vote of the total member ship of the Commission. Part I. Section 4.2 (c) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C-4.2 Prohibitions u Holding Other Office. No elected official shall hold any appointive City office or City employment while in office. No former elected City official shall hold any compensated appointive City office or City employment until one (1) three 3 years after the expiration of his/her term. Part J. Section 5.1(e) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C-5.1 Elections 4
