Ww 14 <br />2.1 <br />2.2 <br />2.3 <br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br />'PURPOSE OF RE VEST FOR PROPOSALS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida (the "City") is inviting licensed and experienced towing firms <br />(the "firm" or "Contractor") to submit qualifications and proposals to the City for the removal, <br />impounding, and/or storage of junk vehicles, abandoned vehicles, illegally parked vehicles, non - <br />drivable vehicles at accident scenes, the vehicles of prisoners arrested by the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach Police Department, confiscated vehicles, or for any other reason that arises from the <br />streets or other areas within the City, or from other locations as directed by the Police <br />Department. The City of Sunny Isles Beach intends to enter into an agreement with two (2) or <br />more successful proposers to provide towing services on a month-to-month rotating basis. The <br />proposer(s) will provide 24 hour towing services, 365 days per year. The proposer will supply the <br />City with priority services. <br />Contractor and subcontractor facilities shall be within a 7 -mile radius of the City, available <br />equipment/storage facility are subject to inspection by the City. <br />VIRTUAL NON -MANDATORY PRE -PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: <br />A non -mandatory pre -proposal conference will be held on MONDAY, MAY 22, 2023 at 11:00 <br />AM to discuss the special conditions and specifications included within this solicitation. <br />No questlons that will change the Scope of this RFP will be answered during the pre -proposal <br />conference. Firms have until the deadline indicated on page 1 to submit questions. Oral <br />statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. The contract shall be contingent upon the completion <br />and submittal of all required documents. This contract shall remain in effect until the completion <br />of services, provided that the services rendered by Firm during the contract period are satisfactory <br />and that City funding is available as appropriated on an annual basis. <br />RFP # 23-05-02f 9 <br />
