Project Overview <br /> This Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan outlines the measures required to ensure safe vehicular <br /> and pedestrian movement around the construction site at 18050 Collins Avenue while <br /> minimizing disruptions. The plan complies with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) <br /> and Sunny Isles Beach regulations to maintain public and worker safety throughout all <br /> construction phases. <br /> 2. Traffic Control Measures <br /> 2.1 Lane Closures <br /> ● Temporary lane closures will be scheduled during off-peak hours (9 AM - 3 PM) to <br /> reduce traffic congestion. <br /> ● Advance warning signs will be placed 500 feet before the closure area, where feasible. <br /> ● Flaggers will be positioned at critical locations to manage traffic flow and ensure safety. <br /> 2.2 Detour Routes <br /> ● Clearly marked detour signs will be installed to guide traffic safely around work zones. <br /> ● Northbound Detour: Collins Avenue traffic will be rerouted via 178th Drive. <br /> ● Southbound Detour: Collins Avenue traffic will be rerouted via 181st Drive. <br /> 2.3 Traffic Signage & Barriers <br /> ● Temporary Regulatory Signs: Stop signs, yield signs, and speed limit adjustments will be <br /> placed as needed. <br /> ● Barricades & Cones: Work areas will be secured using high-visibility barricades and <br /> cones to separate traffic from construction zones. <br /> Ernest Energy Inc.
