Client: City of Miami Beach, Florida Project Duration: 2014 – Present The City of Miami Beach selected MCL through a competitive procurement process to design, install, maintain, and manage a large-scale holiday lighting and décor program across one of the country’s most recognized tourism destinations. The City required a contractor capable of delivering visually impactful holiday experiences while maintaining operational reliability throughout active public spaces during peak tourism season. The project includes more than seven miles of decorative installations across over twenty public locations extending from South Pointe Park through North Beach. The scope includes illuminating more than 350 trees, installing over 140 custom décor elements, supporting ceremonial activations, and maintaining presentation standards throughout the holiday season. Due to Miami Beach’s coastal environment, all décor systems were engineered to withstand salt exposure, moisture, wind, and continuous public interaction while maintaining a premium appearance. MCL implemented comprehensive site inspections, infrastructure evaluations, proactive maintenance protocols, and real-time project tracking systems to support uninterrupted operations throughout the season. All project locations were integrated into MCL’s proprietary maintenance and operational management systems, allowing rapid response capabilities and transparent communication with City staff. The holiday program has become a highly visible seasonal attraction that enhances public spaces, supports tourism activity, and increases community engagement. This project demonstrates MCL’s ability to manage complex, high-visibility municipal holiday programs requiring elevated design standards, operational responsiveness, and dependable performance within active coastal environments highly comparable to Sunny Isles Beach.
