LMS 2025-2030 <br />PART 1: THE STRATEGY <br />This strategy will continuously evolve to address current and future risk and vulnerability. <br />How to Use This Plan <br />The LMS is divided into five (5) parts: <br />Part 1 — The Strategy (LMS-Part 1) — Provides an overview of the LMS and identifies <br />how the plan is implemented, updated, and informed by legal authorities. This part sets <br />forth the goals and objectives for mitigation actions. It also includes the hazards assess- <br />ment along with rationale for inclusion or omission of hazards in our strategy and infor- <br />mation about varying jurisdictional vulnerabilities. <br />Part 2 — The Projects (LMS--Part 2)'_ Contains the methodology for how mitigation pro- <br />jects are submitted, prioritized,2 and tracked. Also includes the list of projects identified <br />by the LMS Working Group members for mitigation actions that are planned, in progress, <br />or completed. This part also highlights case studies of projects completed within the last <br />four years. <br />Part 3 — Funding (LMS-Part 3) — Identifies potential funding sources for mitigation pro- <br />jects. <br />Part 4 — Appendices (LMS-Part 4) — This section contains a number of supportive doc- <br />uments including: <br />• List of Updates made to the plan since the last adoption <br />• List of LMS members including Steering Committee, Working Group and Subcom- <br />mittees <br />• Miami -Dade Resolution Adopting the LMS <br />• State Letter approving the LMS <br />• FEMA Letter approving the LMS <br />• Local Charter information for the Metropolitan form of Government <br />• Integration Document <br />• Municipal Integration of the LMS <br />• Community and Economic Profile <br />Part 5 — Flooding NFIP & CRS (LMS-Part 5) — Contains information specific to flood <br />management plans and identifies activities and information in support of the CRS pro- <br />gram. <br />2 EMAP 2016 Standard 4.2.3 <br />P1-4 <br />
