April 16, 2026 <br />PZ2026-04 <br />The requested variance satisfies some, but not all, of the applicable review criteria. The <br />limited visibility of the existing sign is a special condition that was not created by the <br />Applicant. Additionally, the requested variance is not contrary to the public interest. <br />However, literal enforcement of the sign regulations would not result in unnecessary <br />hardship, as the business could install a wall sign that is compliant in size and continue <br />to operate in a reasonable manner under the requirements. Below is a rendering of the <br />proposed sign: <br />Proposed Sign —facing Collins Ave. <br />Staff has compiled the relevant facts related to the requested sign ordinance variance <br />and recommends that the application be presented to the City Commission for <br />consideration. <br />Page 4of7 <br />46 <br />
