WHEREAS, based on the Contractor's specialize knowledge and extensive involvement with the City's integrated public safety technology infrastructure, the City Manager recommends waiving the competitive bidding requirements of Chapter 62 of the City's Code of Ordinances, as it is in the City's best interest to do so; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to waive the bidding requirements of the City's Code of Ordinances, and approve a three (3) year Services Agreement with the Contractor to provide Maintenance Services to the City's Security Environment, an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Forty -Five Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($345,000.00), which includes an amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($90,000.00) for any necessary and unexpected repairs excluded from the annual Service Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Waiver of Bidding Requirements. The City Commission hereby waives the bidding requirements of the City's Code. Section 2. Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the Services Agreement with the Contractor to provide Maintenance Services to the City's Security Environment, an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Forty -Five Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($345,000.00), which includes an amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($90,000.00) for any necessary and unexpected repairs excluded from the annual Service Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Section 3. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement. Section 4. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
