In this metal sculpture the artist achieves an interesting interrelation of surfaces that gives the
sculpture a different appearance from each point of view, inviting the viewer to surround the piece in a
sort of an exploratory experience. The material and the form itself remind us the elements of the
industrial world, as well as the constant quest for aesthetic beauty that insufflated modernity.
Gaston Diaz first studied in the school of visual arts Manuel Belgrano, in Argentina. In 1969 he traveled
to Paris where he continued his studies in Ecole Nationale Superieure de Beaux Arts, Ecole Practique Des
Hautes Etudes Sorbonne, Universite de Vincennes. Back in his country since 1979, he has been working
from Buenos Aires, however his work has been exhibited in museums, biennials, galleries and cultural
centers around the world.
