A <br /> copy of the American Community Survey 2008-2012 is attached as Exhibit B. <br /> Recognizing a need to accommodate passengers with diverse ethnic <br /> backgrounds, the City has been committed to providing transit services which <br /> are accessible to all persons regardless of potential language barriers. The City <br /> provides information in English, and in Spanish and Russian when requested. <br /> Most City departments have at least one or more employees that are bilingual <br /> and those needing a translator are accommodated when requested. <br /> The City will continue to review the LEP procedures to determine if <br /> modifications are needed to meet language assistance deficiencies. The City <br /> will also educate staff on the following procedures: <br /> a. Understanding the Title VI Policy and LEP responsibilities <br /> b. How to access Title VI Policy and Procedures via the City's website <br /> c. Document and resolve any language assistance deficiencies <br /> d. The appropriate procedure to follow if a Title VI and/or LEP complaint is <br /> filed <br /> VIII. Transit Amenities <br /> All shuttles are equipped with the following: <br /> • Air conditioned interior <br /> • Front-facing seats <br /> • Wheelchair accessible seating and ramps <br /> • Non-skid surfaces at entrance and exit areas <br /> • 1 of the shuttles is equipped with a bicycle rack <br /> • Safety & security cameras (on each shuttle and also strategically placed <br /> throughout the City) <br /> • Amenities such as benches and stop shelters are also provided <br /> throughout the City <br /> IX.
