Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting March 19.2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida 9D. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending Section 150-1 of the Code of Ordinances ("Materials and Color of Exterior Walls") to Update the Color Palette for Exterior Walls of Structures: Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code: Providing for Repeal of Conflicting Provisions; and Providing for an Effective Date. (First Reading 02/19/15) Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Planning and Zoning Administrator Claudia Hasbun reported that this is to update our Color Palette. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Aelion said to leave it open for other providers,and Ms. Hasbun said that the Code actually allows that flexibility as long as it is appropriate with the color palette we can allow other providers. Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Goldman seconded a motion to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Ordinance No. 2015-447 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. Vote: Commissioner Aelion yes Commissioner Goldman ves Commissioner Levin yes Vice Mayor Gatto yes Mayor Scholl ves Sitting in as the Local Planning Agency and the City Commission, to Consider the Following Ordinance Amending the Land Development Regulations (LDRs): 9E. A Resolution of the Local Planning Agency of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Recommending to the City Commission of Sunny Isles Beach for Approval the Ordinance Amending Section 265-5 of the City Code Entitled "Definitions" to Include Public Parks Managed by Miami-Dade County and the State of Florida in the Definition of Public Parks; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: [City Clerk's Note: Items 9E and 9E.I were heard together.] City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot reported. Commissioner Aelion moved, and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the resolution. LPA Resolution No. 2015-86 was adopted by a vote of 5-0 in favor. 9E.1 An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Amending Section 265-5 of the City Code Entitled "Definitions" to Include Public Parks Managed by Miami-Dade County and the State of Florida in the Definition of Public Parks: Providing for Severability; Providing for Repealer: Providing for Inclusion in the Code: Providing for an Effective Date. (First Reading 02/19/15) Action:City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot reported that under the City Code we have a need to clarify the definition of a Park. We have one public Park that is owned by the State that is considered a Park in our Comprehensive Plan which is the beach. Public Speakers: None 9
