SUMMARY MINUTES City of Sunny Isles Beach Special City Commission Meeting - Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS The meeting was called to order by Mayor Samson at 7:04 p.m. with the following officials being present: Mayor David Samson Vice Mayor Irving Turetsky Commissioner Danny Iglesias Commissioner Lila Kauffman Commissioner Connie Morrow City Clerk Richard Brown-Morilla City Attorney Lynn Dannheisser 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ACTION: Commissioner Lila Kauffman led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. 3. ZONING: ZONING HEARINGS ARE QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARINGS. 3A. Public Hearing#Z99-10 REQUEST OF 17070 COLLINS AVENUE SHOPPING CENTER, LTD., OWNER OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF NORTH BAY ROAD, BETWEEN 172m) STREET AND THEORETICAL 170TH STREET AND EAST OF NORTH BAY ROAD FOR THE FOLLOWING: Modification of Condition #2 of Resolution 98-z-15, passed and adopted by the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach on the 16th day of July, 19998 reading as follows: From#2: That in the approval of the plan,the same be substantially in accordance with that submitted for the July 16 Commission hearing,entitled Aventura Beach Marina Apartments prepared by Kobi Karp, consisting of 16 pages dated stamped received 7/31/98. To: That in the approval of the plan, the same be substantially in accordance with that submitted for hearing, entitled Aventura Beach Marina Apartments prepared by Kobi Karp, consisting of 12 pages dated stamped received 6/29/99 and landscaping plans prepared by Witkin Design Group consisting of 3 sheets dated stamped received 6/29/99. The purpose of this request is to allow the applicant to submit new plans showing 2 proposed apartment towers instead of 3 approved towers. 2.
