Section Includes: <br />1. Metal pipe hangers and supports. <br />2. Trapeze pipe hangers. <br />3. Thermal-hanger shield inserts. <br />4. Fastener systems. <br />5. Equipment supports. <br /> <br />1.02 <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: <br />A. Delegated Design: Design trapeze pipe hangers and equipment supports, including comprehensive <br />engineering analysis by a qualified professional engineer, using performance requirements and <br />design criteria indicated. <br /> <br />B. Structural Performance: Hangers and supports for HVAC piping and equipment shall withstand <br />the effects of gravity loads and stresses within limits and under conditions indicated according to <br />ASCE/SEI 7. <br />1. Design supports for multiple pipes capable of supporting combined weight of supported <br /> systems, system contents, and test water. <br />2. Design equipment supports capable of supporting combined operating weight of supported <br /> equipment and connected systems and components. <br /> <br />1.03 <br /> <br />ACTION SUBMITTALS: <br />A. Product Data: For each type of product indicated. <br /> <br />B. Shop Drawings: Signed and sealed by a qualified professional engineer. Show fabrication and <br />installation details and include calculations for the following; include Product Data for <br />components: <br />1. Trapeze pipe hangers. <br />2. Equipment supports. <br /> <br />C. Delegated-Design Submittal: For trapeze hangers indicated to comply with performance <br />requirements and design criteria, including analysis data signed and sealed by the qualified <br />professional engineer responsible for their preparation. <br /> <br />1.04 <br /> <br />INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS; <br />A. Welding certificates. <br /> <br />1.05 <br /> <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br />A. Structural Steel Welding Qualifications: Qualify procedures and personnel according to <br /> AWS D1.1/D1.1M, “Structural Welding Code – Steel.” <br /> <br />B. Pipe Welding Qualifications: Qualify procedures and operators according to ASME Boiler <br /> and Pressure Vessel Code.
