7/2011 <br />15060 - 13 <br />e. Nominal laid length of Type PSM SDR-35 PVC sewer pipe shall be 13 feet. <br /> <br />f. Type PSM SDR-35 PVC sewer pipe shall be double labeled (180 degrees apart) as fol- <br />lows at intervals of five (5) feet or less: <br /> <br /> Date of manufacture - Manufacturer's name & Code <br />- Nominal size - Cell classification - "Type PSM <br />SDR-35 PVC Sewer Pipe" - "Specification D 3034" <br /> <br />2. Type PSM SDR-35 PVC Sewer Fittings <br /> <br /> a. Type PSM SDR-35 PVC Sewer Fittings shall conform to ASTM Standard D <br />3034 and to the specifications for Type PSM SDR-35 PVC sewer pipe herein, except <br />as modified below. <br /> <br /> b. The waterway and bell wall thickness shall be equal to or greater than that spe- <br />cified for pipe, except that for reducing fittings or those with smaller inlets, the wall <br />thickness of each inlet shall be no less than the minimum wall thickness for that size <br />pipe. <br /> <br /> <br /> B. AWWA C900 AND C905 PVC (CI) PIPE AND FITTINGS <br /> <br />1. TYPE C900 and C905 PVC PIPE <br />AWWA C900 and C905 PVC (CI) Pipe for sewer mains and laterals shall conform re- <br />spectively to ANSI/AWWA C900, "Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pressure Pipe and Fabri- <br />cated Fittings, 4 In. Through 12 In., for Water Transmission and Distribution", and AN- <br />SI/AWWA C905, “Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pressure Pipe and Fabricated Fittings 14 <br />In. Through 48 In.” except as otherwise modified herein. <br /> <br />a. The dimensions and pressure classes shall be for Dimension Ratios 14, 18 and 25 <br />(DR’s 14, 18 and 25) for C900 PVC pipe and DR’s of 14,18, 21,25, 26, 32.5, 41 and 51 <br />for C905 PVC Pipe with equivalent cast iron pipe outside diameters. <br /> <br />b. AWWA C900 and C905 pipe shall be made from PVC thermoplastic having physical <br />and chemical properties which meet or exceed a cell classification of 12454-A or <br />12454-B virgin compounds as defined in ASTM Standard D 1784. <br /> <br />c. The AWWA C900 and C905 pipe shall be push-on type, with bells, spigots and elasto- <br />meric gaskets in accordance with ASTM Standard D 3139, "Specification for Joints for <br />Plastic Pressure Pipes Using Flexible Elastomeric Seals". The gaskets shall conform <br />to ASTM Standard F477 and shall be synthetic rubber. One gasket shall be furnished <br />with each length of elastomeric-gasket bell-end pipe. Pipe spigots shall be beveled. <br />Pipe bells shall be extruded integral with the pipe barrel with a thickness equal to or <br />greater than that of the barrel. <br /> <br />d. Nominal laid length of AWWA C900 and C905 PVC (CI) pipe shall be 20 feet. <br /> <br />e. The C900 and C905 pipe shall be labeled with the following at intervals of not more <br />than five (5) feet: <br />
