More precisely, Section 265-21 of
the City Code provides that a Certificate of Occupancy shall be issued only after the premises
have been inspected and found to be in compliance with the Florida Building Code and all
applicable standards and requirements for the zoning district in which the building or structure is
located.
The City desires to amend Section 265-21 of the City Code to mirror the authority that the
Building Official has under the Florida Building Code regarding the revocation of a Temporary
Certificate of Occupancy and Certificate of Occupancy. Grounds for revocation or suspension
include a determination that a building or structure, or portion thereof, is in violation of the
Florida Building Code, the City Code, Miami-Dade County Code, or any state or federal statute,
rule, code, or regulation applicable thereto.
This Ordinance was requested by the Building Official via the City Manager's Office.
{
t
1
1
