<br /> <br />01510 - 5/5 <br />A. Contractor-Furnished Facilities: <br />1. Furnish, install and maintain temporary sanitary facilities for use through <br />construction period. Remove on completion of Work. <br />2. Provide for all construction workers under this Contract and representatives at <br />the site. <br />3. Toilet facilities shall be of the chemical-aerated recirculation or combustion <br />type, properly vented and fully enclosed with a glass- fiber-reinforced polyester <br />shell or similar nonabsorbent material. <br />3.05 TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION AIDS: <br />A. General: <br />1. Provide construction aids and equipment required by personnel, available for <br />City observers use, and to facilitate the execution of the Work; scaffolds, <br />staging, ladders, stairs, ramps, runways, platforms, railings, hoists, cranes, <br />chutes, and other such facilities and equipment. <br />2. Materials may be new or used, must be suitable for the intended purpose and <br />meet the requirements of applicable codes, regulations and standards. <br />3. When platform stair framing is in place, provide temporary treads, platforms, <br />and railings for use by construction personnel. <br />3.06 INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL: <br />A. Relocation: Relocate construction aids as required by progress of construction, by <br />storage, or Work requirements and to accommodate requirements of City and other <br />Contractors at the site. <br />B. Removal: Remove temporary materials, equipment and services when construction <br />needs can be met and allowed by use of permanent construction, or at completion of <br />the Project. <br />C. Repair: Clean and repair damage caused by installation or by use of temporary <br />facilities. <br />1. Remove foundations and underground installations for construction aids. <br />2. Grade the areas of the site affected by temporary installations to required <br />elevations and clean the area. Restore the affected areas to original condition <br />or better. Re-sod, re-plant as necessary. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION
