<br />02513 - 1/3 <br />SECTION 02513 ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVING <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE: <br />A. Summary of Work: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, materials, and <br />equipment for construction of an asphaltic concrete surface course of the thickness <br />and to the lines and grades shown on the Drawings or as specified herein. <br />1.02 APPLICABLE PUBLICATION: <br />A. Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction, (FDOT). <br />1.03 DEFINITIONS: (Not Used) <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS: <br />A. Submit all job mix formulas to be used in this project per SECTION 01300 to the <br />ENGINEER for approval. <br />B. Submit manufacturer’s/suppliers’ certificates of compliance with the Specifications for <br />all materials proposed. <br />1.05 QUALIFICATIONS: (Not Used) <br />1.06 RESPONSIBILITIES: (Not Used) <br />1.07 CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING: Material testing shall be performed as described in the <br />FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. <br />1.08 INSPECTION COORDINATION: The CONTRACTOR shall provide access to the WORK <br />for the ENGINEER as requested for inspection. The Contractor shall provide 48 hours <br />notice of its intention to begin new WORK activities. <br />1.09 WARRANTY: (Not Used) <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 PRIME COAT: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish prime coat conforming to FDOT <br />Specification Section 300-2.1, 916. <br />2.02 TACK COAT: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish tack coat shall conforming to FDOT <br />Specification Section 300-2.3 and 916. <br />2.03 ASPHALTIC CONCRETE: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish asphaltic concrete <br />conforming to the applicable FDOT Specification Section 320, 330, and 334. Asphalt <br />concrete mix to be used in this job shall conform to FDOT Section 334, and shall meet the <br />specifications of Type SP-9.5. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 APPLICATION OF PRIME AND TACK COATS: The CONTRACTOR shall apply the prime <br />and tack coats in accordance with the following:
