Mr. Costoya along with other community corporate partners created the vision and funding for Miami Dade College's first Route to Human Rights monument known as • the "Freedom of Expression Plaza" at the InterAmerican Campus. This significant project was • conceived and executed thanks to his gifted skills as an architect as well as his ability to work with a • large team of stakeholders. • From the moment I first met him I was impressed with his ability to immediately understand the • scope and subtleties inherent in complex organizations. An important aspect of his contribution to • this project was his original design for the plaza and its compatibility with the surrounding • neighborhood and campus facilities. He hit a home run on both. In addition to that. I found him to be • an absolute joy to work with.
