This is how we carry forward the
unaudited fund balances as of September 30, 2015; carry-over unliquidated or unpaid
purchase orders as of September 30, 2015; carry-over capital project balances as of
September 30, 2015 along with unreceived grant revenue; and we are adding a small capital
project not included in the original adopted budget for the Pedestrian Bridge over Collins
Avenue because we had some architectural and design type fees that needed to be addressed
early on in the project. Last year we carried audited balances, she decided not to wait that
long as it is difficult for the staff when they don't have the carry overs in early, and so we
went with unaudited. We were in a much better position to do that this year obviously
having a full year on our software and so we were able to better estimate. Our unaudited
balances are not anticipated to change very much once the auditors have completed the
annual independent audit, and so you may see a small adjustment later.
Public Speakers: None
4
