Currently <br />under design is Phase 1 of that Master Plan which <br />involves a new Courthouse Building and Plaza <br />fronting SE 6th Street ;u downtown Ft. Lauderdale. <br />The Plaza has been designed to tunction as a public <br />space Tor large and small civic gatherings, and for the <br />groups that typically gather in front of this institution, <br />including vendors and families with children. Shade <br />ia p�Lv,,;ded by a grove of ieyal pahjua On the weal aide <br />of the walkway that open up and climb a double set of <br />stairs to the Courthouse Plaza. There is a small <br />simple structural space for children to play in and <br />shaded beating foi parents. The plaza uic.ludcb a <br />smaller scale; shaded space to provide retuge from the <br />activity in tront of the courthouse which also provides <br />xf - <br />:. C ndicap access to the building.
